The last couple of years have been an extremely trying time for all of us. A major catastrophic fire in China, just before the Covid 19 pandemic hit, destroyed the major source of reasonably priced (read inexpensive) electronic semi-conductors and microchips, affecting virtually all manufacturers, and sent them scrambling to find alternative suppliers. Freight charges also skyrocketed due to fuel pricing and isolation restrictions, not to mention, some “goofball” turning his ship into a “roadblock” in the Suez canal. All of Wired 1‘s suppliers have advised us that prices are going up, in some cases, up to a 25% increase at retail, and some as early as August 1st/21!
