Upgrading an 11 zone “dumb” audio system with a SpeakerCraft programmable “smart” system. The old system blew up, probably due to a power surge. Note the lack of a power surge protector at the wall outlet. There will be one installed when we are done! Having a programmable system allows infinite possibilities in custom tailoring of the system and the addition of really cool things like home network connectivity and computer or IPhone/IPad control of the entire system including connected devices and the use of an IPod or IPhone as a music source with full metadata display of the music content.
